Pittsburgh's LGBTQIA+ chorus invites you to our 2023 Pride Concert: We Dream a World
with a special guest performance by Joey Young
Join the Renaissance City Choir for our annual Pride Concert. Every June, all eyes turn toward the LGBTQIA+ community. Corporations change their branding to incorporate rainbows as queer people march, demonstrate, and party in celebration of our community. We Dream A World where that celebration does not end on June 30th and where we find the “Courage To Be Who We Are." Join the RCC as we sing for justice and “Stand Up” in pride and in joy for our community not just in June but every month. This year’s Pride Concert features selections from Dear Evan Hansen, Kinky Boots, the 2019 feature film Harriet, Considering Matthew Shepard, the Social Justice Songbook, and more — encouraging us all to love, support, and defend ourselves and our identities from those who seek to silence us.
We'll also be joined by special guest performer Joey Young! Joey Young is Pittsburgh’s Pop Star. From McKeesport, Pennsylvania, he began performing in musical productions at age 8, started singing in school choral programs at age 13, and by age 18 started releasing his own original music. Joey is no stranger to performing at Pride celebrations all across the country, including “My Hollywood Pride” in Hollywood, Florida in 2022 and 2023, Miami Beach Pride in 2023, and here in Pittsburgh at Pittsburgh Pride Revolution 2022 and 2023.
Can't be here in person? Live stream tickets are also available for the Sunday performance so you can join in the joy from the comfort of home! The live stream begins at 4:00pm EDT. The Sunday concert also offers a pay-what-you-can ticket option. A live-stream ticket also gives you access after the date.
